Show Notes

On this episode of “The Romantic Side of Suspense,” I’m talking with award-winning author Carmen Peone, who lives with her tribal husband, Joe, on the Colville Confederated Indian Reservation in Northeast Washington. Carmen has gathered cultural knowledge from family and elders and studied the language and various cultural traditions and legends under the late Marguerite Ensminger. A horse and photography enthusiast, she has a degree in abnormal psychology. The thought of writing never entered her mind until she married her husband and they moved to the reservation after college. She came to love the people and their heritage, and desired to create a legacy for her family. She loves to write inspirational stories of hope, healing, and horses that lead to a happily ever after. “In the summer, I’ll just be outside, especially in the morning or evening. My office overlooks mountains, trees, hills—it’s a beautiful place,” Carmen said. “I write mostly in the mornings and evenings. … It’s a very peaceful [setting to write in].” Connect w/Carmen Website: http://carmenpeone.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CarmenEPeone/ X: https://twitter.com/carmenpeone Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jcpeone/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/carmenpeone/ Bookbub: https://www.bookbub.com/authors/carmen-peone Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/4862063.Carmen_Peone Listen to the podcast for more from our interview, plus an excerpt from Renewed Hope by Carmen Peone.
