Show Notes

On this episode of “The Romantic Side of Suspense,” I’m talking with Tina Wheeler, an award-winning author, wife, mother, grandmother, and retired teacher. With two pen names, she published 10 novels and two novellas (romances and cozy mysteries) through The Wild Rose Press, Amazon’s Kindle Scout program and self-publishing before selling to Harlequin’s Love Inspired Suspense line. Decades of living in Arizona, a love of TV mysteries, her military and law enforcement family, plus her romantic husband, nicknamed the Irish Charmer, all contributed to her choice of genre and writing style. “My very first book was a romantic suspense, and I felt like I was trying to copy what everyone else was doing,” Tina says. “I loved cozy mysteries, so I thought I’d have a lot more freedom if I got away from all the rules that there are in romance and just kind of have fun with it and do what I want to do. It was great because it gave me time to develop my voice.” Connect w/Tina Website: https://www.authortinawheeler.com BookBub: Tina Wheeler Books - BookBub Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/author_tinawheeler Goodreads: Tina Wheeler - Glendale, AZ (21 books) | Goodreads Newsletter: https://landing.mailerlite.com/webforms/landing/i5w9h8 Twitter: https://twitter.com/tina_author Listen to the podcast for more from our interview, plus an excerpt from Ranch Under Fire.
