Show Notes

On this episode of “The Romantic Side of Suspense,” I’m talking with Sheri Schofield, an award-winning Christian author and president of Faithwind 4 Kids, a ministry to children and families. Her books reflect and encourage the Christian life and help build good relationships with God. Sheri spent nearly 30 years in Montana, many of them in her family home high in the Rocky Mountains. Her fiction writing, set in the wilds of Montana, tell of the challenges of living among mountain lions, bears, elk, moose and the many smaller animals inhabiting the same area. Blizzards and forest fires are part of life in Montana. Sheri brings living in rural Montana to life in her writing, both in her fiction books, and in the devotions she writes for Arise Daily Devotions, a ministry of Advanced Writers & Speakers Association (AWSA). Lately, Sheri has begun writing Christian romantic suspense with her first book in that genre, Before You Find Me, recently released. She is now writing her second love story with a hint of mystery entitled Legend of Thechihila Point (pronounced Teh-chee-HEE-lah). “The switch [to writing for adults, rather than children] was difficult because you have to have more content when you’re writing for adults than when you’re writing for children,” Sheri says. To generate enough content in the first romantic suspense book, “I picked four characters to highlight, one female and three men, and put myself in the place of those people as I wrote about their perspective on the crime that had happened.” Connect w/Sheri Website: www.sherischofield.com Facebook: SheriSchofieldAuthor Twitter: SheriSchofield Listen to the podcast for more from our interview, plus an excerpt from Before You Find Me.
